Swedish……………………………………. $95.00/60 min  $135.00/90 min

Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage in the West. If it's your first massage or you don't get massage very often, Swedish massage would be best suited for you. A Swedish massage uses long flowing effleurage strokes. The pressure is light to medium.

During Swedish massage, massage therapists use massage oils to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching and (sometimes) tapping. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits.

Deep Tissue .……………………………. $125.00/60 min    $165.00/90 min

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.") It shouldn't hurt, but it's likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage. You should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you.

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Sports .…………………………… $115.00/60 min   $135.00/90 min

Sports massage is a type of Swedish massage that stimulates circulation of blood and lymph fluids. Some sports massage movements use trigger point therapy to break down adhesions (knots in the muscles) and increase range of motion.

There are four types of sports massages:

* Pre-event sports massage -- a short, stimulating massage 15 - 45 minutes before the event. It is directed toward the parts of the body that will be involved in the exertion.

* Post-event sports massage -- given within an hour or two of the event, to normalize the body's tissues.

* Restorative sports massage -- given during training to allow the athlete to train harder and with less injury.

* Rehabilitative sports massage -- aimed at alleviating pain due to injury and returning the body to health.

Sports massage is a type of massage that is specifically tailored to sporting injuries or ailments. It is not meant to be a relaxing massage and, indeed, can become quite vigorous at times. Contrary to its name, sports massage is not only utilized by professional sportspeople or people that exercise heavily. It is of benefit to anyone that exercises, even if it is only mild exercise such as regular walking.

Chakra balancing............................................$95.00/60 min   $125.00/90 min

Addresses both the body and spirit. Clearing the chakras heal the physical body by  releasing stored blocks accumulated through a lifetime of traumas and negative experiences.

Reflexology (Hand and Foot) ………………………….. $95.00/60 min   $120.00/90 min

The underlying theory behind reflexology is that there are "reflex" areas on the feet and hands that correspond to specific organs, glands, and other parts of the body. For example: the tips of the toes reflect the head, the heart and chest are around the ball of the foot, the liver, pancreas and kidney are in the arch of the foot, low back and intestines are towards the heel

Practitioners believe that applying pressure to these reflex areas can promote health in the corresponding organs through energetic pathways. Stress and stress-related conditions

Reflexology is a popular alternative therapy. It promotes relaxation, improves circulation, reduces pain, soothes tired feet, and encourages overall healing. Patients also notice relief from tension headaches, digestive disorders, arthritis, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, sports injuries, menstrual disorders (such as PMS), digestive problems such as constipation, and back pain.

Mother-To-Be……………………………………  $95.00/60 min   $125.00/90 min

Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage — to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. The birth of a child is eagerly looked forward but the discomfort that the mother to be faces is not really anticipated. Just as regular massage routines can provide relief for us when we are tired or have some type of muscular pain, a pregnancy massage has the ability to provide relief and benefits to the pregnant mother to be. Benefits of Pregnancy Massage include: tranquil relaxation and reduce stress. Relief from muscle cramps, spasms, and myofascial pain, especially in the lower back, neck, hips, and legs. Increase in blood and lymph circulation, which can reduce swelling. Reduces stress on weight-bearing joints. Massage increases local and general blood circulation, which brings more oxygen and nutrients to the cells of both the mother and fetus. This means greater vitality and less fatigue for mom and better nourishment for her baby. Massage stimulates glandular secretions, which helps stabilize hormone levels. Massage can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes mom is experiencing.

The benefits of massage can improve overall prenatal health for many pregnant women. Along with the guidance and advice of a prenatal care provider, massage therapy can be incorporated into routine prenatal care as an emotional and physical health supplement proven to improve pregnancy outcome, and maternal health. Consult with your midwife or obstetrician before beginning any new therapeutic practice.

Pre/Post Natal (Pregnancy) Massage: Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good. But it's also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies, and therapists who are trained in prenatal massage adjust their techniques accordingly. You will be laying on your side if you are farther along in your pregnancy.

ALTERNATIVE:

Reiki  (No contact)………………………………………………..  $95.00/60 min   $125.00/90 min

The treatment proceeds with the practitioner placing their hands on the recipient in various positions. However, practitioners may use a non-touching technique, where the hands are held a few centimeters away from the recipient's body for some or all of the positions. The hands are usually kept still for 3 to 5 minutes before moving to the next position. Overall, the hand positions usually give a general coverage of the head, the front and back of the torso, the knees and feet.

It is reported that the recipient often feels warmth or tingling in the area being treated, even when a non-touching approach is being used. A state of deep relaxation, combined with a general feeling of well-being, is usually the most noticeable immediate effect of the treatment, although emotional releases can also occur. As the Reiki treatment is said to be stimulating natural healing processes, instantaneous "cures" of specific health problems are not usually observed. A series of three or more treatments, typically at intervals of 1 to 7 days, is usually recommended if a chronic condition is being addressed.

Cranial Massage……………………………………  $95.00/60 min This is a dry (no oil) head and scalp massage. Ease away tension, headaches and sinus issues with this relaxing massage.

Lymphatic Drainage.......................................$95.00/60 min   $125.00/90 min

This is an extremely gentle yet productive procedure. This manipulation increases lymph flow to allow increased immune function and removes harmful substances from your tissues. This is not a massage.

Shiatsu ……………………  $95.00/60 min    $125.00/90 min

Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same points, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses the gentle but firm pressure of hands (and even feet).

Aromatherapy..........................................$125.00/60  min    $145.00/90 min

The nostrils are attached to a part of the brain called the limbic system. The limbic system controls emotions and influences the nervous system and hormones. When you inhale essential oil molecules, messages are transmitted to the limbic system and affect heart rate, stress level, blood pressure, breathing, memory, digestion, and the immune system. Essential oils are also believed to be absorbed through the skin. Each essential oil has different healing properties. For example, some calm while others energize.
